Vacation Home Aquidneck Island

Our clients purchased this ideally located oceanside property, but the house was in disrepair and had gloomy finishes throughout. We were brought on to create a transition between the home’s best features and our clients’ more contemporary taste. We kept the original coffers, moldings, and stone fireplace and offset them with high gloss painted trim and new furniture for a light, beachy vibe. Entertainment space for their large family includes a basement theater and Rec room. A generous laundry and mudroom incorporate space for storing the family’s surfboards. Large upper and lower decks are comfortably furnished for both casual and formal gatherings. The main stair with its sharp right-angle turn is half carpeted, making a unique statement about the home’s relationship between the old and the new.
