Family Resort Angelfish Cay
A sophisticated art collecting couple commissioned this new construction second home in Key Largo with the goal of making it fun for company and a home for their art collection. We chose a vibrant color palette to evoke marine life but worked with unusual hues to make the transitions between rooms in this long, narrow home interesting. The acid green Living Room leads to a turquoise Kitchen and adjacent Sitting Room in a flat blue. Details such as the ship’s chain coffee table in the Sitting Room, ceramic barnacle wall piece in the Dining Room, and circular patterned doors to the expansive back porch are offset by fabrics and weaves in unexpected colors. Seating areas outside face a pool with retracting screens to keep bugs out and allow for breezes to pass through. The outdoor Kitchen makes entertaining easy and welcoming, allowing for perfect views of the tropical garden.
